anaxa knows there are times where words can fail a person, and there's no real way to express the way one is feeling in a moment. he's spent so long grieving in silence, he'd understand that feeling better than anyone.

so when you're sitting alone on the couch, just laying there, staring at the wall.. anaxa doesn't try to immediately get you to talk. instead, he sits on the floor by your head, leaning his back against the couch and looks at you. "bad day?" he watches you nod, and continues. "is there anything you need? blankets, water, anything?"

you shuffle on the couch a bit, making enough room for him to lay with you as you pat the free space. his one good eye shows hesitance in his reflection, however he slowly makes his way and slides up next to you. the best he does is one arm wrapped around you and the other is used as a pillow underneath his head. (he figures you need all the couch pillows)

"i don't mind the one sided conversation, i.. i know what it's like, just wanting to be understood without speaking." anaxa already knows, rubbing your sides since your back is pressed up against the backrest. he doesn't care that he's about to fall, just as long as he hasn't. "if you need me to do anything to help you feel comfortable, i'm.. here. research can wait."

with those words, it's followed by you reaching out to him and having your fingertips halt, just before touching the edges of the star-shaped hole in his chest. he stares down at where you're about to make contact, then he looks back at you — with trust never seen in him before.

you slowly trace the outline of the galaxy-like void, and anaxa can't help but feel his heart race. he's never been vulnerable like this before, even if he was your lover. it was all slow, steady steps as you both navigated your relationship.

but in this moment, consumed by delicate touch of your fingertips and completely yours, he can't help it. he can't stop his heart from racing and he can't stop the undoubtedly, ever growing love for you.

he loves you, he loves you so much. and in that moment, he's slowly realizing he'll be ready to do anything for you. anaxa just needs to come to proper terms with that, in his own time.

phainon knew something was wrong the moment you walked through that door, and he immediately started calculating in his mind what to do. get you good food? make you a bath? do all your chores?

he's found a solution when you practically toss yourself at him, catching you in his caring arms as he feels his heart melt. he always knew you as — not exactly a ray of sunshine — but definitely not as gloomy as this. the silence is new, but he pays no mind to it, letting out a subtle grunt as he begins to carry you to the bedroom.

he slips off your shoes for you, clumsily tossing them to the shoerack while giving you a smile; promising to fix it later. "was that red bastard giving you a hard time again, asking you where i was?" phainon tries to joke, not minding the fact you don't answer, and relish in the way you lean your head against him.

it isn't long till your boyfriends warmth is replaced by a comfy mattress, but it also isn't long for it to come right back — as he positions himself between your legs, and has his head pressed against your stomach — head tilted up to you like a lovesick puppy.

"i wonder what could've made you upset today," he wonders aloud, tracing patterns on your stomach as you close your eyes, just letting yourself drown in the sheets and the familiar weight of phainon ontop of you. "whatever it is, just know you're here now. i'm here and i won't be going anywhere, okay?"

he smiles at you, hands caressing your hips as he hums to himself. "if you need me, i'm all yours."

when a battle goes wrong, it doesn't tend to affect you. yes, you worry for comrades and the final outcome — but it's never been enough to completely make you freak out. after all, you know you'll win eventually.

that changes when you watch someone get close enough to mydei's weak spot, the only way to kill him for good. and the sight haunts you deep to your core, dropping everything to stop that blade from going through the last person you had.

and mydei understands that, he likely would've had the same reaction in your position. but the battle had taken such a toll on you, that you had just.. gone quiet on him.

he doesn't mind, not at all. he won't blame you for being horrified at the idea of losing someone you love. so he has you safely tucked in his arms, your back pressed against his bare chest and both his arms and legs 'cage' you. he's got a book infront of you, and he's been reading it out ever since you two got back home.

you once told him that despite being a man who yells out war cries, his voice is surprisingly.. gentle. like he could bring even the fiercest warriors to a deep slumber. so he's made it a habit, reading to you until you fall asleep. it's a deadly combo when he opts to hold the book with one hand, and decides to play with your hair using the other. which is what he's doing right now.

mydei can feel your head slipping against him, and although you've said nothing to him the whole day.. it's the most reassuring thing. that despite your stress and terror, he is yet again, your safe place. just as you are his sanctuary amidst a war.

as your eyes close and you're welcomed into the arms of a good nights rest, mydei drops the book completely and instead wraps his arms around you. falling asleep with you too in hopes to meet you in a better place, your dreams.

Alex not being able to sleep because he's never really done endurance racing before, at least not at this level. a 6 hour race is incredibly different than a 24 hour, and so Alex is simultaneously exhausted and anxious, and he kind of can't shake the feeling that there is something hiding underneath his bed, waiting to grab him by the ankles and pull him under

and it's funny, because he knows there isn't, because there usually isn't even an underneath on those beds; it's basically just a mattress on the floor, give or take some extra cushion. and it's charming, but Alex's back kind of hurts, and so does his head, and his eyes, and his- yeah you get the idea

it's 2 in the morning and so his thoughts are jumbled. I mean, his thoughts are always kind of jumbled; there's never really a moment of peace, but tonight it's especially bad. flurries of static punctuated by awful loneliness, occasionally interrupted by a short ruckus outside in the hospitality, and even that kind of makes Alex feel worse, like he's invisible, or like he's the only person on earth

he knows he's not, realistically speaking. there are 8 billion people on earth, and then a good hundred or so in his proximity. Alex would love to go out there and chat, make a few jabs and crack a few jokes. maybe it would help soothe the hamster wheel in his chest, maybe it wouldn't

Logan would always be able to help. and that thought really catches Alex off guard, and before his chest can be hit by the freezing cold ache that always accompanies most of his thoughts about Logan, his body rings with another wave of exhaustion. and the combination of those two things leaves Alex with only one solution

and his body carries him to Logan's room without second thought, and my god, Alex is tired; his limbs feel like concrete, and the only reason his eyes are even open right now is simply because he's vertical. he might not be in a second, though, depending on how long it takes Logan to open the door

and then Logan doesn't open the door, and Alex feels stranded and also like his ankles are about to give out on him at any moment, and so Alex just tells himself fuck it, and lets himself in. fuck his pride, fuck this stupid game they've been playing with each other. Alex is tired, and Logan is here, which is something that Alex hasn't been able to say comfortably for a long time

and so then he's met with Logan's sleeping form, curled up and lumpy in the sheets, and Alex so fucking tired and so fucking jealous, and so he hardly has to think about it before walking over and shaking Logan awake

and Logan rolls over, heavy and drowsy and really warm beneath Alex's palm, and Alex then realizes fuck what am I even doing. but now it's too late; Logan is awake and looking up at him, bundled up and sleepy, and then Alex yawns and it becomes horribly evident that all he wants right now is curl up into Logan's ribcage where it's warm and quiet and not plagued by the adrenaline of another stint on the horizon

so he asks. asks if he can be here. if he can sleep with Logan. and even though Logan has just woken up and his eyes are still a little bleary, he just smiles up at Alex and nods his head before pulling Alex down into bed with him. Alex nearly busts his lip on Logan's shoulder, and their legs get a little tangled up in the blankets, and it's all horribly reminiscent of something that they used to have, something clad in blue and riddled with insecurity

but it's different, this time, in how Logan pulls Alex into his chest, in how he mumbles something between their bodies, and how Alex finally leans in to kiss him without overthinking it

I have made a list of my top songs that remind me of kiraboss. Not in any particular order

Number one Community Gardens

I feel like this song represents the idea of loving or caring for each other no matter how bleak it may seem, or how terrible the other is. hey're both horrible people, like in the very first line in the song, but they still found solace in each other because they don't care about their horrible traits. Also verse two is just giving me so many Jojo refs.. "The culimation of man's mistakes" is like when Kira got found out, and "For arrogance and a false sense of immunity" is literally Diavolo. The very last line in verse two also says "Is to face the wrath of a dying star".. BECAUSE LIKE JOESTAR. AHSCJJX.

Number two Rule #18 -Lion

If I would have to give this one a perspective I would say it's Kira's. The song gives the idea of someone so radiant, the other feels overshadowed, yet they still want more and more of the other. I feel like Kira, a man who finds himself to be so "average" (as he says) would feel that everytime he's with Diavolo. Also the song has a lot of repetition, which could be like Kira's schedule which always faces repeats over and over again. "Do you find I always come back with the same old lines" adds to this. I think that after meeting Diavolo he tends to get out of his habits more and more, which is also a theme of the song. Also heheh the line "Where'd you get the energy to be that spicy? You've got a flavor that's so feisty, one bite satisfies" is so them.

Number three All Dolled Up

I really don't support the Orion Expereience, but this song is sooo themmm urggghhhh. There's a lot I would like to say but I'm pretty sure the lyrics verrry self explanatory. "I don't wanna be a boy, I don't wanna be a girl", "Let's be gay, let's do crimes", "They can't control us, they don't define us. We never did belong".. Its peak. I will end it off here.

Although this is less headcan-y I love any idea of Kira and Diavolo having a one night stand or short relationship, when actually yearning for each other afterwards. Also I can say a Jojo reference because stand users attract like magnets to each other so that would explain why they would end up meeting again.

Honorable mention Line Without a Hook

I don't think the actual song meaning itself is really them. Mostly I like to imagine angsty ass storyboards of them to this. Also there's this one line "And I found hope in a heart attack" reminds me a little of that one fanfic Stand Royalty on ao3 like how Diavolo literally finds hope in death to see a certain someone. Yeah that's it.

Honorable mention two Spider Bites

Haha furry music.. It's okay though because Kira is a furry. I think this song could be like Diavolo trying his best to satisfy Kira's needs because, well, you know how he is. I also like the idea that Wukong isn't really sure about his feelings for Nezha because yeah, he does like Nezha and thinks of him as cool, but does he actually want a partner or is he just attracted to the idea of someone not dying on him?

So the two of them are stuck in this circle because Nezha literally NEEDS approval and he needs Wukong to at least acknowledge that he wants him in some way, and while the jokes probably satiated that need for a bit in the beginning, Nezha does genuinely want to be wanted because he grew up pretty unwanted. And Wukong lowkey wants to want Nezha, and it's a pretty safe bet since Nezha is also immortal and strong so he doesn't have to worry about Nezha dying on him but old habits die hard and honestly he kinda wants to see how long he can play this relationship tug of war with Nezha(because he's still scared to admit his feelings and isn't sure if he actually likes Nezha or just likes the idea of not being left alone again) until Nezha gives up because Nezha MUST give up at some point, surely he'll get bored and leave, right? Maybe he'll get tired of this game like the Brotherhood and just leave him and spare him the heartbreak of getting attached and having happy memories only to leave after decades, maybe centuries if their lucky, together.

"You look awful. What happened this time? Fungi? Eremites? A rogue Sumpter Beast?"

"That was one time!" You whine. "One time, and you've never let me forget it."

His tail swishes as he grabs his medical supplies and starts treating your injuries. "Because it was quite hard to miss the very large, very loud beast charging at you, yet you still somehow did."

You pout playfully. "I was distracted by your dazzling beauty! You were shirtless, honey, shirtless!"

He rolls his eyes, but his tail moves quicker in a way that lets you know that he likes the compliment. "Your situational awareness is quite terrible for a Matra."

"My situational awareness is fine when I'm not distracted by your very attractive chest."

He stops bandaging your abdomen and raises an eyebrow, looking your body up and down. "Really?"

"This was not an ambush. There were Fatui harassing some merchants, so I stopped them."

He continues, not saying anything in response. His expression was neutral, but his scent was displeased-sad-worried. Your heart ached, knowing it was all for you.

You grab his hands and look in his eyes. "Hey. I'm right here. I'm okay. A little bruised, but nothing too bad."

Tighnari's ears twitch, and his expression finally shows his concern. "I hate doing this. Patching you up."

"I know, and I'm so sorry that I keep doing this to you honey." You squeeze his hands gently.

"...I love your big heart. I just wish it didn't keep getting you hurt." He rests his forehead against yours.

"Hey, I do good deeds that don't result in personal injury. It's why all the aunties at the bazaar love me," you joke.

A small smile lightens up his expression. "That, and your muscles."

You playfully gasp. "Are you insinuating that the aunties only love me for my biceps and chiseled abs?"

"They do love your kind heart, but they like looking at you more. I've heard them talk."

You laugh and lean up to give him a kiss. "Too bad for them. I'm spoken for."

He kisses you back with a hum, then pulls back to finish his treatment.

"Now, as punishment for being reckless again, you get to tell Collei why you're injured."

Your heart sinks in despair. "I can't do that! She always looks so sad and disappointed. It's like I kicked a puppy, honey."

"Then it should teach your the error of your ways," he says as he packs up his medical supplies.

"Honey, she's gonna break my heart. It's agonizing."

"Suffer, then."

"Honey!"

ooh i dont know if this is minor enough but i've come to really like jurian. i didn't really have much of an opinion on him for most of the series and then for some reason in silver flames when he was in it for like 2 seconds i was like wait a minute why haven't i been more into this guy he kinda fucks

well i loved the spring court aesthetic from the first book, but at this point in the series I think I'd say maybe actually dawn. it just sounded so pretty, and i think it would be one of the subtler, less overwhelming courts while still being awe-inspiring.

oh shoot um okay court of clouds?? people who specialize in wind manipulation, likely populated by a race related to the Peregryns or Drakon's race? an actual cloud court like in the sky could be a vibe I think. perhaps it would be more removed from the politics of prythian--they'd still have a High Lord, but maybe it would be more of a military government or something.

What relationship would you have wanted to see more of in the books?

oh wow i mean i am always here for more rhys and tamlin content obviously, but i would have also loved to see more of like stories and stuff about the sentries from the spring court that went over the wall, like Andras. andras and lucien's relationship in particular would be one I would have liked to know more about. I also really want to see Azriel and his mom.

What's your unpopular opinion?

god what ISN'T my unpopular opinion. hm. i think feyre's whole reasoning for wanting a baby out of seemingly nowhere is dumb. like i get it, yolo, life can be cut short, but like i really do not feel like she picked a good time to have a baby, nor do i think she is remotely ready to be a mother. when she realized she wanted kids in acofas, it wasn't a strong enough argument for me to actually like get behind her decision.
